ogy (ACAAI); and the American Rhinologic Society (ARS), convened a group of 30 physicians from a wide range of disciplines: allergy-immunology, otolaryngology, infectious disease, and radiology. Over 2 days, this panel worked together to develop definitions of rhinosinusitis for clinical research and to suggest clinical trial designs for studies that would allow for more appropriate use of pharmacologic, immunologic, and surgical interventions.
