Soy Isoflavone: The Multipurpose Phytopharm

Abstract

Soy isoflavones possess many physiological activities such as anti-tumor,anti-osteoporosis in menopausal women,anti-aging,improving menopausal women's learning and memory,and prevention against and treatment of heart disease,diabetes and Kawasaki disease.This essay analyzed the effects of soy isoflavones on various diseases and proved that the preventive and therapeutic values of soybean isoflavones were largely attributed to its properties as phytoestrogen and antioxidant ability.And just because of its properties as phytoestrogen,the risks of applying soy isoflavone to food and health care must be further evaluated.
