Abstract

Abstract A manual and automated method has been developed in which a new "aqueous" o-toluidine reagent is used that is compatible with standard tubing throughout the system. Citric acid, boric acid, and thiourea are incorporated, to increase absorbance readings. The sampling rate is 50/h, and the sample volume is 0.12 ml. Measurements may be made at either 630 or 385 nm.
