Abstract
A case of universal hypertrichosis lanuginosa associated with small cell, anaplastic carcinoma of the bronchus is reported and compared with 5 previously reported cases of UHL associated with disseminated internal epithelial malignancies. It would appear justified to regard UHL of adult onset as a rare cutaneous manifestation of internal malignancy. Like acanthosis nigricans, it may antedate other signs and symptoms of malignancy.
