Cystosarcoma phyllodes of the breast: A malignant and a benign tumor. A clinicopathological study of seventy-seven cases

and established cystosarcoma pliyllodcs of the breast as an entity, emphasized its benign nature. Since then, although the literature concerning this type of tumor has been voluminous, most articles have been reports of single or only a few cases, and conclusions regarding its nature and behavior have been derived largely from periodic analysis of the previously published case reports of others. Thus, in 1931, Lee and Pack collected10, 105 cases from the literature and reported six cases of thcir own.
