Abstract

Highly oriented thin films of oligo( p ‐phenylenevinylene)s , oligoPPVs, provide information about the structure of polyPPV and structure‐property relationships. It is shown that deposition of a substituted oligoPPV onto highly preoriented PTFE substrates leads to highly oriented thin films and that annealing produces a remarkable morphological change (see Figure and also the cover), an indication of epitaxial growth. magnified image
