Abstract
The dynamical aspects of the correlation between fragment mass (and charge) variance and the energy loss for the $^{136}\mathrm{Xe}$+$^{209}\mathrm{Bi}$ system have been studied. A classical dynamical model has been used to obtain the instantaneous values of the relative kinetic energy. The one-body transport model is used to calculate the corresponding nucleon exchange rate.
