Abstract
This edition of the textbook of the same title originally written by Russell W. Bunting, D.D.S., D.D.Sc., retains the format and many fine features of the original. In addition, it contains much new material. Some of the eighteen chapters were written by contributing authors. The chapters on "The Abnormal Development of the Oral Region" by Samuel W. Chase, Ph.D., and on "Deep Neck Infection of Dental Origin" by Edward Reiter, D.D.S., are valuable and well prepared. A chapter appearing in earlier editions on "Malocclusion of the Teeth and Dentofacial Deformities" is a regrettable deletion from the newest edition. The chapters on the abnormalities of the dentitions and teeth, hypoplasia of enamel and dentin, the dental accretions, abrasion and erosion are adequate and extensively illustrated.
